Malloreddus, the typical pasta shape of Southern Sardinia, now enjoyed habitually by all Sardinians were, and still are today, the protagonists of special occasions such as weddings, parties and village festivals. Their name, which means “little bulls” in Sardinian, pays homage to the generative force of this animal, symbol of Neolithic and Nuragic Sardinia. In the original recipe, malloreddus are combined with saffron, ragù and local pecorino, offering an authentic gastronomic experience rich in the typical flavors of our land of Sardinia.
